There are numerous varieties of rice found across the globe however they generally fall into three categories as below.
Long-grain rice has a slim kernel about four or five times longer than its width.
Medium-grain rice has a kernel about three times longer than its width, measuring between 6-4 Ml.
Short-grain rice has a fat short kernel with high starch content. They cook up soft and sticky.
PR 11 Rice has ben grown organically. Its purity level is 95% and its maximum broken grain content is 2%. This variety of rice has up to 12% moisture content. Average grain length of this version of sella basmati rice ranges between 8.3 mm to 8.35 mm. 1121 White Sella Basmati Rice is grown in different states of India that include Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand etc. Also referred as Pusa basmati rice, this range of cereals is basically hybrid version of basmati. Standard of this rice has been verified on the basis of its shelf life, grain length, nutritional value, taste etc.
